I live in my head a lot, partly that’s being an academic. I’m an analytical person. I’m committed to a lot of social justice issues and my particular interest is environmental issues. I used to be an activist. I like to read a lot. I’m a mother. I have a daughter that is 11-years-old. I’m very close to my family which now is my mom and my sister. My dad died from Alzheimer’s in 2010. I like to travel a lot and be outdoors. I enjoy spending time in nature and camping.
"So much of who we think we are or how we know ourselves is through our face because we're just looking at ourselves all the time and that's our mechanism for expression. Now with masks it's so much harder and we realize how much we rely on that. When your face is just changing and you have no control over it and it starts to not look like you as much.. It's kind of weird."
